PanARMENIAN.Net – The Armenian Human Rights Defender’s office has a higher rating that the Prime Minister’s office, according to a fresh nationwide survey from the International Republican Institute.
The survey was conducted on behalf of IRI Center for Insights in Survey Research. Data was collected throughout Armenia between February 8 and February16, 2021, through phone interviews, with respondents selected by random digit dialing (RDD) probability sampling of mobile phone numbers. The sample consisted of 1,510 permanent residents of Armenia aged 18 and older.
30% of respondents assessed the Ombudsman’s activity as “very favorable”, and 29% had the same opinion about the PM’s office, IRI said. The Army is the absolute leader in this category, with 50% of people assessing the Armed Forces’ work as very favorable, and a further 23% as somewhat favorable.
The work of the Armenian Apostolic Church too was deemed very favorable by 30% of survey participants, while the police and the President’s office received 26% and 7% approval ratings, respectively.
