Armenia to invest $208 million in Karabakh housing projects: Pashinyan

PanARMENIAN.Net – The Armenian government has decided to provide AMD 110 billion (some $208 million) for the construction of houses and infrastructure in (Nagorno-).

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during a joint meeting of the Security Councils of Armenia and Artsakh on Friday, March 26 that the funds will come from Hayastan All-Armenian Fund and the state budget.

According to him, several more decisions have been made, aimed at implementing the road map announced by the prime minister on November 18, 2020, for the restoration of normal life in Artsakh and ensuring the country’s socio-economic development.

Karabakh President Arayik Harutyunyan noted that the decision to provide funds for the housing program is important for the resolution of humanitarian issues and the further development in Artsakh.

Harutyunyan revealed earlier that up to 30,000 refugees from Karabakh currently reside on the territory of Armenia.
