Armenia polls: Five arrested on suspicion of bribing voters

PanARMENIAN.Net – The Special Investigative Service of on Monday, June 21 reported on the arrest of 5 people on charges of bribing potential voters ahead of snap parliamentary elections held across the country on Sunday.

Within the criminal case, searches were carried out together with the National Security Service and material evidence was seized from 12 apartments in the town of Artik, Shirak province.

Caretaker Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s Civil Contract party won 53.92% of the vote, while Hayastan (Armenia) bloc headed by second President Robert Kocharyan secured 21.4% of the ballots. “I Have Honor” bloc too will get seats in the parliament.
