PanARMENIAN.Net – Robert Yeghiazaryan (b. 1968), a resident of the village of Mets Masrik who was seriously injured in Azerbaijan’s shelling of Armenia’s Gegharkunik province on October 1, has died in Yerevan, Gegharkunik governor Gnel Sanosyan revealed.
According to Sanosyan, the doctors were fighting for his life in the past several days but unfortunately he could not be saved.
“The is one more proof of Azerbaijan’s aggressive and genocidal policy towards the Armenian people, carried out on the grounds of ethnic hatred,” Sanosyan said.
Azerbaijan, with help from Turkey and Syrian and Libyan mercenaries deployed by Ankara, started a war against Karabakh (Artsakh) in the morning of September 27. The Armenian side has reported deaths and injuries both among the civilian population and the military. Foreign and local journalists too have been injured in Azeri shelling of towns and villages.
