Armenia: Bodies of 3,360 soldiers killed in Karabakh war examined so far

PanARMENIAN.Net – Armenian Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan said Monday, January 4 that the bodies or remains of 3,360 servicemen have been examined since the beginning of the war in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Torosyan revealed that more than 2,500 forensic genetic examinations have also been carried out so far.

According to Torosyan, the Armenian government bought the country’s only genetic analyzer back in 2018, with the help of which the bodies of 461 soldiers have been identified.

“The second analyzer is already in , and will start working in the coming days. Before the use of the equipment, forensic genetic identification was being carried out with old and inaccurate devices,” the minister added.

The names of less than 2000 servicemen killed in hostilities unleashed by Azerbaijan against the of Nagorno-Karabakh have been published by Defense authorities so far.
