PanARMENIAN.Net – Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold talks with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev in Moscow on Tuesday, July 20, the Kremlin reveals.
The two are expected to exchange views on current regional problems, particularly the practical aspects of the implementation of Nagorno-Karabakh statements signed by the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia on November 9, 2020 and January 11, 2021.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov earlier confirmed that preparations were underway for Aliyev’s working visit, describing the meeting as a “synchronization of watches”, RIA Novosti reports.
Peskov added that no documents will be signed during the visit.
Aliyev’s visit comes on the heels of acting Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s trip to Moscow, during which the situation in the region and escalation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border were high on the agenda.
