PanARMENIAN.Net – Turkey is using Azerbaijan’s “hands” to attempt another genocide, Armenian President Armen Sarkissian said in an interview with Fox News Channel.

Sarkissian said have no intention of giving up rights to live freely in Nagorno-: “This is a fight they will fight a long time, until the death as they say. Every Armenian in the world will support this fight for a simple reason. They see another attempt at genocide by Turkey using Azeri hands.”

The President believes the recent flare-up of the Karabakh conflict is becoming a great regional conflict with the potential of becoming another Syria or a big change in geopolitics “because Turkey has brought with them also mujahedin–terrorists, Islamic terrorists–into Azerbaijan.”

Sarkissian said those countries have a role to play in helping to restore peace. As does the U.S. “I would like to use this opportunity to wish President Trump and the First Lady good health,” he said. “And it’s important President Trump return fully to his responsibilities for the Americans and for elections that are coming up, but it’s also important he brings his contribution today because we in Armenia, in Karabakh, cannot wait until the American elections. We need American words and pressure on Turkey and Azerbaijan today.”

Azerbaijan, with help from Turkey, launched a large-scale offensive against Karabakh (Artsakh) in the morning of September 27, shelling Armenian positions and civilian settlements with large caliber weapons and rocket systems. Armenia and Karabakh have introduced martial law and total mobilization. The Armenian side has reported deaths and injuries both among the civilian population and the military. International and local journalists too have been injured in Azeri shelling of towns and villages, as well as the iconic Ghazanchetsots Cathedral in Shushi.

Donations can be made to Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, which has launched a fundraising campaign to support Karabakh amid Azerbaijan’s aggression.
