Armenia snap election 2021: Campaigning begins

PanARMENIAN.Net26 Armenian political forces, parties and blocs alike, are starting to campaign on Monday, June 7, less than two weeks before snap elections are scheduled to take place in Armenia.

The campaign across the country will run 12 days until June 18 midnight. Electronic voting will be held from June 11 to 13, a week before will flock to polling stations to elect new members of parliament.

Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced on March 18 that Armenia will hold snap parliamentary elections on June 20. The PM came under fire after signing a statement with the Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents to end the war in Nagorno- almost 45 days after the start of the military hostilities. Under the deal, the Armenian side was forced to return all the seven regions surrounding Karabakh, having lost a part of Karabakh itself in hostilities.
