PanARMENIAN.Net – Second President Robert Kocharyan’s bloc, Hayastan (Armenia), has questioned the credibility of the preliminary results of the snap elections in the country and said it would not recognize acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s victory.
Hayastan’s statement was disseminated in the wee hours of Monday, June 21 when less than half of the precincts had been counted.
“Hundreds of signals from polling stations testifying to organized and planned falsifications serve as a serious reason for lack of trust,” the bloc said in a statement, adding it would not “recognize” the results until the “violations” were studied.
Pashinyan’s Civil Contract party won 53.92% of the vote, while Hayastan (Armenia) bloc headed by Kocharyan secured 21.04% of the ballots. “I Have Honor” bloc too will get seats in the parliament.
