Turkey does not attack Armenia for only one reason – former Deputy speaker

As for Turkey, since the 90-ies she has signed an agreement with Azerbaijan that Baku has no right to take military action without the consent of Ankara. And besides, in the event of hostilities, Turkey will support Azerbaijan.

Sharmazanov said that while Ankara and Baku held a joint parade in Azerbaijan, the current government was still struggling with the former and other opponents.

Even during the recent events in Tavush, according to him, when the opposition urged to unite around the army, the authorities continued “political repression”.

From July 29 to August 10, held a joint Azerbaijani-Turkish military exercises, including near the borders of Armenia.
