Armenian defense Ministry refuted the testing of a Turkish F-16 “strike on Yerevan”

YEREVAN, Aug 3 – Sputnik. Information about the mining strike in Turkish fighter jets does not correspond to reality, told Sputnik Armenia , the press Secretary of the Ministry of defense of Shushan Stepanyan.

Previously, the portal wrote that the Turkish F-16 fighter jets allegedly flew to the capital of Armenia at a distance air strike, in the territory of Nakhichevan and “to 56 kilometers from the capital, which is the radius of the aircraft missiles in service with the Turkish air force, turned around, obviously having worked thus strike at the capital of Armenia”.

“With regard to air situation, it should be noted the information is not true,” said Stepanyan.

Azerbaijani-Turkish joint military exercises are conducted from 29 July to 10 August, including near the borders of Armenia. So, according to the plan submitted to the defense Ministry of Azerbaijan, exercises involving ground forces will be held from 1 to 5 August in Baku and Nakhichevan, and exercises with the participation of military aviation – from 29 July to 10 August in Baku, Nakhchivan, Ganja, Kurdamir and Yevlakh.
