YEREVAN, Aug 3 — Sputnik. Yerevan and Beirut is ready to deepen military cooperation in the framework of bilateral agreements. This was discussed during telephone conversation of the Minister of defense of Armenia David Tonoyan, with the Lebanese colleague Sanoi ACAR.
As reported on Monday the press service of the defense Ministry of Armenia, Tonoyan congratulated ACAR with the 75th anniversary of the creation of the armed forces of Lebanon.
The sides discussed cooperation between the two countries in the military sphere, the situation with coronavirus.
The Lebanese Minister stressed the importance of participation of Armenian military in the peacekeeping mission of UNIFIL under UN auspices in Lebanon.
In response Tonoyan said that Armenia is determined to continue to participate in it. Armenian troops are in Lebanon in 2014.
The Ministers during the conversation also touched upon the military-political situation in the region, stressing the importance of deepening cooperation in the framework of bilateral military agreements.
