PanARMENIAN.Net – Armenia’s economy is expected to expand by 6% in 2021, acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told a government meeting on Thursday, July 1.
“The draft budget for 2021 predicted a GDP growth of 3.2%, but I am pleased to note that the forecasts have been revised upwards, and the economy is now projected to grow by 6% in 2021,” Pashinyan said.
The caretaker PM also said the government is “quite successfully” collecting revenues”, teasing an overfulfilment for the first half-year.
The Central Bank of Armenia earlier revised its economic growth forecast for the country in 2021. It said Armenia’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) will expand by 4.6% instead of 1.4% that was forecast at the beginning of the year.
